| My
name is David Halter (incase you haven't guessed yet). I am
23 years old, and have lived in Rock Springs, WY my entire
life. I have many hobbies ranging from computers, to radio
controlled cars, to paranormal investigations, and finally...
photography. My main interest in photography didn't strike
me until I started planning for a trip to Easter Island at
the beginning of 2006. I purchased a Canon EOS 20D for my
trip well in advance and began playing with it. I would soon
learn that my investment lead to an addiction of sorts.
My father shares many of the same interests that I have,
and he once was really heavy into photography as well. He
owns several film cameras, and three of them are of the Canon
line. He has the Canon F-1, AE-1, and the EOS 620. Many of
his accessories and lenses work with my 20D, and it made it
much easier for me to capture the photos I wanted. It was
a big help financially, and I was able to fiddle with my camera
more before my trip. Thanks dad!
The time of my trip to Easter Island came very quickly, and
I had enough knowledge about my camera to take some decent
photos on my trip. I took a back-up camera with me just in
case my 20D decided to take a vacation of its own. Fortunately,
I didn't need to use it. I took over 2000 photos on my trip,
and luckily I took an extra memory card and my laptop to upload
my photos to. I also took some CD-R's to make backups. I was
prepared needless to say. To this day, I still have not finished
going through those photos. :)
Ever since my trip to Easter Island in June, I am still taking
many photos. I am gaining more experience every trip I take.
My friend, RJ
Pieper, and I have taken many random trips around the
local area to capture the coolness factor of Sweetwater County.
I occasionally take it a step further, and drive out of the
County.. or even the Country to take photos. My photos are
truely of a "spontaneous nature".
Thank you for visiting my photography website. Please feel
free to send me an email if you have any interest in my work.
Have a great day!
Sincerely,
David Halter
